Job Description:

Whether you’re an experienced teacher, tutor or academic mentor, your goal will be to build confidence, boost attainment and help learners close any gaps in their education.

You will be supporting students who may need catch-up sessions, exam preparation or structured guidance in their core curriculum subjects. Sessions will take place after school hours, either in the student’s home (with a responsible adult present), a local library, or a suitable learning space.

CONTRACT DETAILS

• Location: Bromley
• Position: 1:1 Core Subjects Tutor – KS3 & KS4
• Subjects: English, Maths, Science (GCSE level and below)
• Type of Work: After-school tuition (face-to-face)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing (flexible contract)
• Hours: Up to 5 hours per week (1-2 sessions per week, typically 60-90 minutes each)
• Rate of Pay: £22-£30 per hour (depending on experience)
• Contract Type: Temporary, part-time

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, Degree in subject specialism, or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience delivering tuition to KS3 or KS4 students
• Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or Science
• Experience creating tailored learning plans and tracking student progress
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last 12 months – desirable)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to process a new one)
• Provide two professional references, including one child-related reference from within the last two years
