Plater. Location: Chesterfield. Salary: Up to £17.00 per hour (DOE) + Overtime. Hours: Monday to Thursday (4-Day Working Week). Job Type: Temporary to Permanent.

We're working with a well-established, steel fabrication company currently in a state of growth, looking to add a skilled Plater to their ranks. You'll work on custom steel fabrications for the infrastructure and transport sectors, using drawings to cut, shape, assemble, and weld components. The role involves operating workshop tools and machinery while following all health and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Operate workshop tools and machinery in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Read and interpret drawings to cut, shape, assemble, and weld steel components for custom fabrications.
  • Support the fabrication process from cutting to final assembly, ensuring quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience in heavy steel fabrication.
  • MIG welding experience is desirable.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings.
  • Ideally apprentice-trained or with similar experience.
  • Team player with a good attitude and eye for detail.
