Job summary

A leading cane sugar producer in Greater London seeks a skilled operator to safely manage plant machinery. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards and operating computer-based control systems. Candidates must have experience in operating machinery, possess strong numeracy and literacy skills, and be educated to at least 4 GCSEs or equivalent. Qualifications

• Some understanding of health & safety legislation in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of safety, environment, hygiene and quality procedures applicable to area of work.

Responsibilities

• To operate the plant ensuring the required S.H.H.E.Q. standards and volumetric targets are achieved.
• To utilise the plant computer systems to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
• To undertake QC analysis as appropriate and compare results against the specified process parameters.

Skills

Experienced operating plant machinery

Good numeric and literacy skills

Ability to monitor and operate equipment using a computer based control system

Education

Educated to at least 4 GCSE's or equivalent
