Job description

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a local authority based in Doncaster, which is seeking an experienced Planning and Highway Legal Officer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity to progress in your career and gain experience in the legal industry.

Pay – Umbrella Rate: £50-£55 an hour depending on experience. PAYE (Inc. Hol): £44.50-£48.89 an hour depending on experience.

Contract: 3 months, with potential to extend.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality and timely technical and professional advice on land and property matters to the Council, its officers and elected members.
• Handle high caseload in Planning and Highway from start to completion.
• Deliver training and contribute to continuous legal service improvement.
• Represent the Council in appeals, judicial reviews and statutory challenges.

About you

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in Planning and Highway Law.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
