Overview

PPRE is seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer to join its expanding global team. This strategic hire reflects the firm's growth trajectory, diversified product offerings, and the evolving complexity of international regulations governing Anti-Financial Crimes ("AFC"), including sanctions, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in AFC compliance within asset management, particularly in real estate investment vehicles and products. This role requires a proactive, business-oriented professional who can translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance across PPRE's global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary advisor on AFC laws globally
  • Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on PPRE's business
  • Lead the design and implementation of AFC risk assessments, testing, and monitoring programs
  • Provide AFC compliance support for real estate transactions (direct, indirect, and debt)
  • Develop and deliver AFC and anti-fraud training programs tailored to real estate investment contexts
  • Represent AFC compliance in executive committees, ensuring robust reporting and governance
  • Collaborate with PIMCO's AFC compliance teams in the UK, EMEA and the US to align global standards
  • Manage regulatory audits and oversee remediation efforts
  • Champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct across all levels of the organization
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of AFC compliance experience, ideally within real estate investment management
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA regulatory frameworks and AFC monitoring practices
  • Proven experience in managing regulatory inquiries and complex real estate transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with senior leadership and regulatory bodies
  • University degree required; law degree preferred
