A leading cybersecurity company in the City of London is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join their dynamic team. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial PHP experience.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP.
  • Experience with MySQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with performance profiling tools.
  • A passion for technology and continuous learning.

  • Shape and improve the company's core web systems.
  • Work on user onboarding journeys and customer account portals.
  • Solve technical challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to best practices and mentor junior developers.

This organisation builds cutting-edge security products used by millions worldwide, helping protect users from evolving digital threats across all their devices.

Theyve developed a suite of powerful tools, including antivirus, VPN, ad-blocking, password management and more, all designed to simplify and strengthen online safety for everyday users. With continuous growth and new product innovation underway, the team is now looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join their high-performing engineering function.

The Role

As a Senior PHP Developer, youll play a key part in shaping and improving the companys core web systems. Youll work on :

  • User onboarding journeys
  • Customer account portals
  • APIs powering multiple applications
Performance, optimisation and new feature development

Solving complex technical challenges in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Youll also contribute to best practices across the department, supporting continuous improvement and mentoring other developers.

Tech Stack

Youll work across a modern and highly scalable environment, including :

  • PHP
  • nginx
  • RabbitMQ
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Custom in-house frameworks (full training provided)
  • MySQL & NoSQL data stores (e.g., Cassandra)
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a bonus but not essential.
