Personal Care Assistant for a Young Boy

We are seeking an experienced and caring Personal Assistant to support a 6-year-old male child with a rare and complex genetic condition. The child has vision impairment, mobility difficulties, and several food intolerances, and is unable to communicate verbally.

The successful applicant will provide 1:1 close supervision, support with personal care, and enable the child to access leisure activities in the local community, such as playgrounds, soft play areas, and water play.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake training, which will be provided, and have a full, clean driving licence, with insurance for business use. An Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS) will be required, with the cost met by the employer.

Hours: 4 hours per week during term-time weeks on Saturdays, and 8 hours per week during school holiday weeks. Rate of pay: £13.74 per hour, with holiday entitlement of 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.
