Job description

We are currently looking for a Part-Time Payroll Assistant to join our clients’ busy team based in the Medway Towns. This will be on an initial 6-month temporary basis but has the potential to be extended/ turn permanent for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroller that is detail-oriented and comfortable working with payroll data in a fast-paced environment, as well as assisting with wider HR administration.

Duties will include:

  • Collate and input payroll data, including sickness and absence information
  • Submit payroll data to external providers and perform manual calculations
  • Validate, reconcile, and report payroll outputs to Finance
  • Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
  • Set up new starters and assist with internal/external audits
  • Ensure GDPR and data protection compliance

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a payroll support or payroll assistant role
  • Have strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be able to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365
