Overview

Part-Time Financial Controller – Wolverhampton | £40,000 (Pro Rata) | Mon-Fri, 9am-3pm

We are a well-established, family-run manufacturing business based in the heart of Wolverhampton. Following continued organic growth, we are now seeking a part-time Financial Controller to lead our accounts department and support the business in its next phase of development.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow) with supporting analysis.
  • Managing treasury, cashflow, and rolling forecasts.
  • Supervising and developing the accounts team.
  • Preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Developing internal controls and enhancing financial reporting systems.
  • Partnering with operational teams to drive performance.
  • Producing and tracking financial and non-financial KPIs.
  • Liaising with auditors, banks, HMRC, and advisors to ensure compliance.
  • Overseeing annual stock checks and strengthening stock management practices.
  • Supporting consolidation, acquisitions, and system development where appropriate.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) or through experience.
  • Strong track record in finance or management roles.
  • Experience in manufacturing or stock-intensive businesses desirable.
  • Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work to the needs of the business.
