Looking for your next big step in-house? This is a standout opportunity for someone with 12-24 months of legal experience who's ready to build a long-term career, grow within a well-funded private equity-backed business, and ultimately qualify in a few years' time.

This early-stage but fast-scaling energy infrastructure company operates as an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO), adopting and owning electricity connections across EV charging, data centres, battery storage, commercial premises and major residential developments. With significant financial backing and ambitious growth plans, the legal function is expanding - and this role sits right at the heart of it.

The Role

As a Land Rights Paralegal, you'll play a key part in enabling projects to be energised by ensuring all required consents and land rights are secured. You'll manage a high volume of ongoing matters, coordinate external contractors, and work closely with the Land Rights Manager as the portfolio evolves.

This is a hands-on, development-focused role where you'll gain real responsibility early and build specialist expertise in a high-growth sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the acquisition of land rights, environmental consents and planning permissions for new utility connections.
  • Identify and secure easements, wayleaves and other land rights, supporting negotiations and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Liaise with landowners, external contractors and IDNO/DNO partners to support end-to-end project delivery.
  • Resolve issues quickly and professionally, including attending meetings with prospective landowners where required.
  • Conduct Land Registry research, raise enquiries and ensure accurate documentation is in place.
  • Prepare regular reports, maintain tracking tools and provide weekly updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support the Asset Management team to ensure operational and compliance requirements are met.
About You
  • 1-3 years' experience in property or land rights work (mandatory), with any exposure to in-house, energy, or utilities environments considered a bonus.
  • Strong communicator with confidence working with senior stakeholders and escalating matters appropriately.
  • Organised, detail-driven and capable of managing a high volume of live matters.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with Land Registry processes.
Working Arrangements
  • Minimum 3 days per week in the office (flexible which days).
  • Office located next to Liverpool Street Station.

If you're looking for a long-term pathway to qualification, early responsibility, and the chance to grow within a financially backed, high-growth energy business, this is one to explore.
