Job summary

A local hospice in Wroughton is seeking a qualified medical professional to manage patients in their In-patient Unit and support community teams. The ideal candidate will hold an MBBS or equivalent, have GMC registration, and possess skills in communication and teamwork. This position involves providing palliative care, maintaining patient records, and collaborating with various teams to meet patient needs. Candidates must be within 45 minutes of the hospice when on-call.

Qualifications

• Must have current UK professional GMC registration.
• A genuine interest in or experience of palliative medicine.
• Experience in hospice or specialist palliative care settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day medical management of patients.
• Provide support to the Community CNS team, see patients at home.
• Generate and maintain patient records.

Experience in palliative medicine

Education

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

Full GMC registration

Minimum 4 years postgraduate training
