Overview

Outreach Tutor - Term Time Only

Location: Borough of Brent
Pay: £30-£40 per hour
Contract: Full-time / Part-time hours available during term time only
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Outreach Tutors to join our team in the Borough of Brent. This role offers flexibility, rewarding work with SEN students, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young people's lives.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality 1:1 or small group tuition to students, typically in the students home (parents/carers always present) or nearby libraries/centres
  • Support learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN), tailoring lessons to meet their individual needs
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and attainment
  • Work collaboratively with school staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to support each learner's development
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
  • QTS preferred, but strong unqualified teachers/tutors will also be considered
  • Minimum Level 5 in Educational Training (or equivalent qualification)
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A proactive, patient, and supportive approach to teaching
