2710 - Operational Technology (OT) Architect (Contract or Permanent)

Our client is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Architect to define and drive their OT vision, enhance enterprise architecture, and advise on future-proof solutions across the OT domain. This is a subject matter leadership role, partnering with OT business and technology SMEs, as well as IT and Cyber architects, to deliver resilient, scalable, and compliant OT solutions that support critical infrastructure and long-term strategic goals.

What you’ll do

• Define the long-term OT strategy aligned with investment plans and develop supporting roadmaps
• Lead the definition and enhancement of enterprise OT architecture, including standards, capability mapping, and reference architectures
• Embed compliance-by-design into OT solutions and ensure resilience against cyber and physical threats
• Promote convergence between OT and IT systems, focusing on capability alignment and interoperability
• Evaluate and lead strategic decision‑making for OT platforms and solutions

What to bring

• Proven expertise in Operational Technology (OT), power systems, or critical infrastructure, with a strong track record in architecture and strategic leadership
• Experience in IT / OT convergence and cross‑functional collaboration
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strategic mindset combined with deep technical expertise in OT systems
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage both technical and business audiences
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., CAF) and critical national infrastructure requirements
• Sector experience within utilities or Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) is highly desirable
