Worldwide Education, the UK's number one supply agency, is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Permanent Nursery Manager to join one of our wonderful client nurseries located in the High Wycombe area (HP12).

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about early years education and ready to lead a dedicated team in providing a high standard of care and learning.

Salary: Our client is offering a very competitive salary, ranging from 30,000 to 35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Management

  • Take overall responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of the nursery.
  • Provide strong leadership to staff, ensuring high standards of practice across the setting.
  • Conduct regular staff supervisions, appraisals, and identify training and development needs.
  • Work closely with the Directors, Deputy Manager, and Assistant Manager to ensure a unified leadership approach.
  • Take on designated officer roles such as DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) or SENCO where required.

Curriculum and Child Development

  • Ensure the implementation of a high-quality, play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Lead the children's learning, development, and play across all age groups.
  • Organise and support the key person system and ensure individual planning for each child.
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing among children at all times.

Parent and Community Engagement

  • Develop strong relationships with parents/carers, encouraging involvement in their child's learning journey.
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding children's progress, curriculum, and daily activities.
  • Lead and promote parent engagement events and activities.
  • Actively promote the nursery within the local area to meet and maintain occupancy levels.

Operational and Compliance

  • Ensure the nursery meets all statutory requirements, including Ofsted, Health & Safety, and the Children's Act.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in line with nursery policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all staff understand and follow safeguarding, health, and safety procedures.
  • Work in partnership with other professionals to support children and families.
  • Manage nursery resources, including ordering materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Support the nursery in its self-evaluation process and contribute to the improvement plan.
  • Uphold and role model the nursery's values, policies, and high standards at all times
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent (Level 5 preferred).
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or in a senior leadership role within early years.
  • Excellent knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a professional attitude at all times.
