South Site Ophthalmology Service: Nurse Team Manager - Eye Clinic at Orpington Hospital
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse with strong leadership and management skills to join our team as Nurse Team Manager within the South Site Ophthalmology Service. The post will be based at the Eye Clinic, Orpington Hospital, with an expectation of cross-site working in collaboration with Queen Mary's Eye Department, Sidcup.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse leader who is passionate about service improvement, staff development, and delivering high-quality patient care. While experience or an interest in ophthalmology is required, specialist ophthalmic skills will be developed within the role, supported by dedicated clinical time and training.
As Nurse Team Manager, you will provide professional and operational leadership to the nursing team, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centred care. You will play a key role in workforce planning, service delivery, and quality improvement, while maintaining a clinical presence within the service.
This hybrid role combines management and leadership responsibilities with protected clinical sessions, allowing you to remain clinically engaged while driving service development.
