A local government council is offering a Modern Apprenticeship opportunity in Payroll for individuals aged 16 to 24. Are you ready to kick‑start your career in Payroll and make a real difference across the Scottish Borders Council? We’re offering a fantastic Modern Apprenticeship opportunity for a motivated individual to join our HR Shared Services, Payroll Team.
This is an opportunity to be part of the payroll team, processing payments to all employees of Scottish Borders Council, alongside undertaking a professionally recognised qualification. You will gain hands‑on experience, develop key Payroll skills, and work alongside experienced professionals who will support your growth and development every step of the way.
Role Purpose: As part of the apprenticeship you will be required to engage with a training provider to obtain the desired qualification in Payroll and have regular meetings with the supervisor and/or assessor.
In line with Scottish Borders Council priorities, applicants must be aged 16 to 24 at the start of the Apprenticeship.
