Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Secretary to join our team in the Community Paediatrics department. You will be based in the Child Development Centre at Worthing Hospital, Lyndhurst Road, Worthing.

Duties include:

  1. Providing a comprehensive and efficient secretarial and administrative service to the Consultant Community Paediatricians and the wider team, including Specialty Doctors, Junior Doctors, and therapists.
  2. Prioritising work according to the needs of the service.
  3. Managing your own workload with excellent interpersonal skills, communicating effectively with NHS colleagues, patients, relatives, schools, and Social Workers via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.

You must be adaptable and open to embracing change. Knowledge of working within a healthcare environment is desirable but not essential.
