A leading infrastructure provider in the UK is looking for graduates for their Mechanical Engineering Graduate Development Programme. The role involves managing site operations, ensuring quality and safety while acquiring technical and project management skills. Graduates will participate in a two-year program with opportunities to rotate across various projects. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Salary ranges from £44,000 to £46,000 per year, with flexible hours and overtime opportunities.
CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWH Treatment. CMDP+ have secured a new AMP8 Capital Programme. The Strategic Delivery Partner Framework Agreement with Southern Water delivers work on water supply and wastewater treatment projects in the eastern half of the region (Kent & Sussex). Between 2025-2030 CMDP+ will deliver critical investment to Water and Wastewater infrastructure across the region, including upgrades to Treatment Works, Pumping Stations and Reservoirs.
To develop the skills required to enable you to become responsible for key elements of work on a project, taking a significant role in mechanical engineering and technical delivery while also managing aspects of time, cost and quality. You will acquire technical, leadership and project management skills and experience.
The programme focuses on growing your personal and leadership skills alongside business and technical knowledge gained day‑to‑day. Delivered in a variety of formats over two years, it establishes a network of contacts that supports you during the first two years and beyond. Graduates may rotate after 8‑12 months to another project sector to understand the breadth of our services. Line managers support the programme and you will receive mentoring and a structured training package to work towards Chartership.
Applicants should have or be on track to achieve a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline, at grade 2:2 or above.
Salary: £44,000 – £46,000 per annum, plus overtime (paid at x1.5 & x2.0) and opportunities. Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6 am onwards.
