Job summary

A leading recruitment platform is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for an initial 12-month contract in Glasgow. The successful candidate will focus on maintaining a 'Zero Defects' approach and improving manufacturing processes. Ideal applicants will have qualifications at HNC level in Engineering or equivalent experience. Strong communication skills and an understanding of Lean Principles are essential. Competitive salary of £32.47 per hour is offered.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or equivalent experience.
  • Computer literate and able to communicate effectively on technical issues.
  • General awareness of Manufacturing Systems.
  • Understanding of Lean Principles.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.

Manufacturing Engineer - Initial 12 month contract

Salary: £32.47 DOE (Umbrella)

Location: Glasgow

Responsibilities
  • Take a 'Zero Defects' approach in all day to day activities.
  • Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes
  • Create, maintain and/or govern elements which clearly define the manufacturing process and control them effectively.
  • Capture, analyse and use data to demonstrate and improve manufacturing processes.
Experience and skillset - Manufacturing Engineer
  • Qualified to HNC level in an Engineering subject or with experience
  • Computer literate and able to communicate effectively at all levels on technical issues.
  • General awareness of Manufacturing Systems
  • Lean Principles understanding
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Ability to read technical drawings related to manufacturing/repair process.
