The Business

We are acting on behalf of a well-established UK manufacturing business operating from a single site in Scotland. The company supplies a range of food products to long-standing customers and is recognised for its quality, reliability and operational capability.

The Opportunity

This is a senior, end-to-end Managing Director level role with full accountability for the performance, growth and long-term competitiveness of a fast-moving consumer goods manufacturing business. The role is focused on driving sustainable growth while unlocking the operational benefits of scale, ensuring commercial margins are protected and enhanced as the business grows.

The Managing Director will lead from the front, maintaining a visible presence on the factory floor and taking personal ownership of operational performance, including yield improvement, labour productivity, cost control and operating margin. They will ensure health, safety and technical safety are embedded at the forefront of the business, fostering a culture that looks after its people while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

The role carries responsibility for key raw material procurement and the development of strong, long-term supplier relationships, alongside the modernisation of the business through improved data capture, accuracy and accessibility to support better decision-making. The Managing Director will build a true, values-led team culture, develop leadership capability, and play a central role in driving growth initiatives, acquisition strategy and investment decisions to ensure the business continues to strengthen its competitive position.
