Overview

Personal Care Assistant required to assist two elderly persons with a Physical Disability, living in the Newmains/Wishaw area. You would provide one-to-one care and assistance within their home, including attending to personal care.

Responsibilities

• Attending to all personal care needs
• Assisting with medication
• Preparing meals and healthy snacks
• Moving and assisting - pushing manual wheelchair
• General housework
• Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage the individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs
• Warm and friendly nature with a desire to work within a caring role
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working with a dog in the home (pets in the household)
• Full UK Driving Licence is preferred but not essential
• Relevant care experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided

• Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)
• Recruiting for 1 position
• Guaranteed permanent position of 24 hours per week
• Days and times: Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 9:30am to 6:00pm (8.5 hrs each day)
• Extra hours may be available
• Hourly Rate: £13.00
