Job description

Overview

Our client is a leading company within the food industry. They are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team as they grow the business. Shifts include a 12 hour days and nights rota (2 days/2 nights with 4 days off). Salary is £46,500 - £48,000 DOE. Benefits include an 8% non-contributory pension, 5% bonus, life assurance and a healthcare cash back plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide front line maintenance support to the shift operations team
• Keep machinery working to the designed output efficiency
• Dismantle and re-assemble all production equipment
• Electrical, instrumentation and mechanical maintenance
• Perform regular planned preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance and improvement works

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Must be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (electrical and mechanical)
• Track record of electrical fault finding and ideally knowledge of PLCs
• Must have exposure to working in a Food or FMCG manufacturing environment
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and a continuous improvement mentality
• Must have a recognised apprenticeship to ONC or HNC
