Overview

School Maintenance Caretaker

PLEASE NOTE: The roles are temporary and will be available as required. As the schools are closing for the summer, positions will begin from September. A number of temporary maintenance professionals are being recruited to support site teams with day-to-day general maintenance and site work in schools across the area. There will be full-time and part-time positions available throughout the school year with varying durations. There may also be an opportunity to move to a permanent contract within the schools, though this is not guaranteed. You must be available to start straight away and be flexible with working hours, as some schools require split shifts (for example 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.).

  • Carry out odd jobs delegated by the supervisor
  • Open and close the school building
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
  • Set alarms
Requirements and Process

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO FULLY REGISTER WITH US INCLUDING PROVIDING RIGHT TO WORK DOCUMENTS, ALONG WITH OBTAINING AN ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS. THIS WILL BE PROCESSED BY US BUT COMES AT A COST OF 56.20 (UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE REGISTERED ON THE UPDATE SERVICE). PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE ABLE TO DO THIS.
