Overview

Kenect Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced candidate to work on sewing machines for our client in Aston. The suitable candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment for a company that manufactures and sells Rugs online. They will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the sewing machine. The candidate must have some sewing experience; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of sewing machine; starting/stopping/cleaning.
• Set up machines according to specification.
• Basic machine setting, adjusting according to design fit.
• Perform quality checks on patterns and materials.
• Monitor machine operations.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good time management and ability to meet schedules/deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Shift Pattern

• Monday - Friday, day shifts.
• Shift times may vary depending upon business needs.
• Overtime available, paid at a premium after 40 hours per week.

Experience

• Previous experience using a sewing machine.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
