Legal Counsel - Technology & Commercial Contracts (Public Sector)

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid: 1 day per week in-office Birmingham)

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (MSAs, RFPs, licensing, data processing, etc.)
  • Support contract negotiations with public sector clients and partners
  • Advise on privacy and data protection matters (UK GDPR)
  • Ensure compliance with public sector frameworks and procurement processes
  • Contribute to strategic projects including M&A, AI-related legal issues, and supplier agreements
What We're Looking For
  • UK-qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 3-8 years' post-qualification experience
  • Strong background in commercial contracts and public sector frameworks (preferred but not essential)
  • Solid understanding of data protection obligations
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a team-first attitude
