Job Location Cheltenham
This is a maternity cover role within a recently expanded Cashiering and Disbursements team to enhance the team ability to support the wider business needs and driving improvement and efficiency.
You will be responsible for providing an excellent legal cashiering service, including regular international transactions, which are fully compliant with the Solicitor's Accounts Rules (SAR).
This list is not exhaustive and other duties and projects may be assigned to you commensurate with the general nature of the role.
You will have good legal cashiering experience and be able to demonstrate strong knowledge and understanding of legal cashiering processes and procedures. Your experience must include handling international payments, ideally across a range of countries.
You will, of course, be able to demonstrate strong skills relating to attention to detail, accuracy and prioritisation etc. as well as working under pressure with tight deadlines alongside a thorough and up to date knowledge of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules. You will be resourceful and adept at problem solving, forward thinking, always supporting the department to provide an excellent service to the firm and our clients.
You will be available to commence work by 1 February (ideally much sooner - we would be happy for you to start from January onwards). As a maternity cover role our expectation is that the contract will extend until around May 2027. Our usual expectation is for 50% office attendance for this fixed term contract.
Our culture is unique among law firms - both in what we expect from our people and the way we create value in the industries we serve. We empower our people, expect commitment and excellence, and celebrate when we achieve it.
Our values are at the heart of everything that we do and define Wiggin as a workplace: being visionary, authentic, unified, responsible and excellent across-the-board.
There isn't a typical Wiggin person. We aim to build teams that are diverse in thought, perspective and experience to provide a more rounded service to our internal and external clients.
We operate a discretionary hybrid working model allowing 2 days per week working from home. We offer an attractive remuneration package including 25 days holiday (plus birthdays off), private medical insurance, permanent health insurance and more from your first day of employment.
