Job summary

A legal services provider is looking for motivated individuals for Legal Assistant positions within the Social Care & Education Legal Team. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £32,597 to £37,280 and supports legal operations in family law. You will assist in court proceedings and provide critical casework support while working in a hybrid model. Successful candidates will have a law degree or diploma and experience in family law practices.

Legal Assistant Vacancies – Social Care & Education Legal Team

Location: Hybrid (homeworking with attendance as required in Solihull and Birmingham including Birmingham Family Court and surrounding areas)

Hours: Full time (part time applications will be considered)

Salary: £32,597 – £37,280 per annum. Incremental progression is subject to performance

We are excited to announce two Legal Assistant vacancies within our Social Care & Education Legal Team in Solihull. If you’re a motivated individual with a passion for children and adult social care law, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the legal team in Public Law Pre-Proceedings and Care/Adoption Proceedings
  • Assisting with Court of Protection proceedings and SEND tribunals
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team of legal assistants
  • Providing casework support to fee earners and assisting in the preparation of legal documentation
What We’re Looking For

A graduate with a qualifying Law Degree, Diploma in Law/CPE, or an Associate member of CILEx with the Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law and Practice, you will have:

  • Experience in a family law office or practice, handling casework or supporting fee earners
  • A solid understanding of family proceedings, and Family Court protocols and procedures
  • Motivation to deliver client-focused, high-quality legal services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
