The college seeks a FT / PT Lecturer & Course Leader in Computer Science.

Commencing September 2026

Responsibilities
  • Join the Computer Science department as a Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching across the remaining three years of the undergraduate programme, including Foundation year.
  • Initially assume the role of Course Leader.
  • Specialise in areas including Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Internet of Things, Programming Principles and Techniques, and general foundational Computer Science topics.
  • Design engaging, inclusive curricula and foster student success.
  • Contribute to the development and innovation of departmental teaching practices.
  • Shape the learning experience of future computing professionals and contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking academic environment.
Ideal Candidate & Qualifications
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science, with a UK Master’s degree as a minimum (PhD preferred).
  • Demonstrable teaching experience in higher education.
  • Expertise across core Computer Science domains, particularly Data Structures and Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, IoT, and programming fundamentals.
  • Ability to teach a broad range of modules; student-focused with innovative pedagogy.
  • Ability to contribute to curricular development and collaborative projects; excellent communication and organisational skills; adaptable in teaching scenarios.
  • Experience of research or industry collaboration is desirable.
