LEARNING MENTOR LEVEL 3
  • Employer: St Aidan's Catholic Primary School
  • Salary: Band K (SCP 29 - 31) £39,862-£41,771 Pro rata. Actual Salary: £35,194 - £36,880
  • Location: Huyton, Knowsley
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Working Pattern: Term Time
  • Hours: 36 hours per week. 8.30am - 4:15pm (4pm one day)
  • DBS Check: Enhanced

The Governors of St Aidan's Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to support our children and families. The successful candidate will be reliable and committed to a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is supported to reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will:
  • Work collaboratively and positively with all the staff within the ethos, vision, and values of the school
  • Work closely with pupils who have diverse learning, behavioural and SEND needs
  • Develop one to one mentoring relationships with pupils needing support
  • Meet with parents to discuss and agree pupil action plans
  • To work closely with external agencies to ensure pupils receive relevant, coordinated support
  • To analyse data in relation to barriers to learning and identify strategies to improvement
  • To present progress data to teachers and senior leaders on areas such as attendance and attainment
  • To work closely with the designated safeguarding lead on safeguarding issues
  • To support pupils social, emotional and mental health needs
