Lead Software Engineer

£80,000 - £90,000 & hybrid working!

My client is developing the next generation of Fixed Wireless Access products based on 5G air interface standards in the mmWave frequency bands. They are seeking a Lead Software Engineer responsible for creating a Network Management System (NMS) application that supports configuration, monitoring, and management of network elements. This role involves spearheading the development of the NMS application and planning tools while managing a team of software engineers.

The ideal candidate is looking to advance their career, collaborating across the business to achieve company goals. They should be eager to work in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment and take ownership of a vital application.

Requirements for this Lead Software Engineer position:

1. Proven experience in senior technical leadership within a customer-facing online platform environment
2. Proficiency in C++, C#, or Java (OOP)
3. Experience with build tools and environments
4. Experience leading the development of MVPs and bringing products from concept to market
5. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
6. Knowledge of 5G/LTE/WAN or experience developing an NMS is advantageous
