Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working *1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Salary: £Competitive + company benefits (Full time/permanent role)

The SRE Team

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich experiences for our users.

About the role

This is a hands-on position. Working within the Software Engineering team, you will manage the SRE functions daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experience.

You will review, lead, and shape our approach to the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to influence the team’s future using your expertise in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform Management
  • API development and deployment in containerized environments such as Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an Agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, including IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation and CDK
  • Experience with serverless computing
