Overview

Lead Gas Engineer – Cadent. Location: Burton On Trent - Wetmore Road. Department: Cadent. Employment Type: Full Time. Reporting To: Richard Cashmore.

Responsibilities

As part of our Emergency Response Team, you'll be the first on the scene at customers' homes, which makes you the face of our brand for people who are worried about potential gas escapes or carbon monoxide activated alarms. You may deal with the emergency services on behalf of our customers, making you part of a team that's responsible for protecting peopleu2019s lives. They could be vulnerable, elderly, or simply looking for help. It9s that level of empathy, plus the pride you9ll feel from caring for people and keeping them safe in their homes that could make you a Cadent person. It9s a role where no two days are the same, so from installation, replacement, and maintenance of gas meters for our home and business customers, to high rise and gas safety regulation surveys, to fitting cooker safety valves, when we say it9s a varied role, we mean it.

Experience and Qualifications

We9re looking for excellent communication skills and the ability to keep calm under pressure. You must have either a CCN1 or CMA1 qualification to apply. A MET1 qualification would be beneficial but is not essential. As well as experience working within a gas environment, including good knowledge of gas appliances; testing, purging and the commissioning of pipework. An understanding of Standards, Legislation, Codes of Practice and Health and Safety is also important, and you9ll need a full UK driving licence too. But ultimately, it9s about pride, purpose, thinking on your feet, and taking ownership. That9s what will make you a perfect fit in our team.
