Job description
Overview

Flexible working arrangements may be considered and discussions with the recruiting manager regarding this are encouraged.

Responsibilities
  • To provide high quality care for the child and family in a safe and professional environment.
  • To ensure family integrated care is promoted by working in partnership with the child and family.
  • All staff on PICU are supported to develop professional expertise within the paediatric critical care environment. Continuing professional development will support NMC requirements along with meeting the service need.
  • As a newly qualified staff nurse you will be expected to care for level 3 children within the intensive care setting. You will be responsible for full nursing care delivery, working as a part of the multi disciplinary team in partnership with families.
  • You will be expected to cover a range of shifts including nights, weekends and day shifts including over bank holidays.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Newly qualified paediatric or adult nurse with an interest in developing within paediatric critical care; no critical care placement experience is necessary as a 12-month educational foundation programme is provided alongside the trust NQN preceptorship.
  • Continuing professional development will support NMC requirements along with meeting the service need.
