Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a fast-paced kitchen is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all crockery, pots, and utensils are cleaned and stored properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the Dishwash area and Kitchen.
  • Ensure stock areas are tidy and free of clutter.
  • Communicate orders for cleaning supplies to Line Manager / Head Chef.
  • Follow procedures for receiving deliveries and addressing discrepancies.
  • Perform stock rotation and communicate nearing use by dates.
  • Complete cleaning schedules and submit to Line Manager / Head Chef.

Key Points for This Position
  • Permanent Position
  • 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 2pm Friday
  • Hourly rate of £14.00
  • Breakfast and lunch provided
Main Responsibilities of the Role
  • To ensure all crockery, pots and utensils used in the preparation, production and service of food is cleaned and stored in a tidy manner in designated areas.
  • To make sure that the Dishwash area, Kitchen and service areas are clean, tidy and attractive always.
  • Ensure stores areas are always kept clean and tidy and floors are kept clear of stock.
  • Ensure chemical solutions for cleaning are available for employees to use and correct storage and use of PPE guidance is adhered to and any ordering requirements are communicated to Line Manager / Head Chef.
  • Ensure correct procedures are followed when receiving deliveries and appropriate paperwork completed and any discrepancies communicated to Line Manager / Head Chef.
  • Ensure deliveries are put in appropriate stores as soon as possible and stock rotation in adhered to – communicating with Line manager if use by dates is near.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed as required and passed to Line Manager / Head Chef at the end of each week.
