Kitchen Assistant

Hours: Flexible/Agency
Locations: Caerphilly
Pay rate: 12.25 (PAYE - not via umbrella)
Holiday pay is separate, NOT inclusive of your hourly pay. i.e. 12.25 + holiday pay

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for assisting the cook preparing meals for residents while maintaining high standards of food preparation. Ensure that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen and dining areas, and ensure equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition, reporting any faults or defects to the Cook as necessary. You will support in general kitchen and dining room duties such as setting tables, washing dishes, and serving meals. Additionally, you will handle and store cleaning materials and equipment responsibly, in line with the establishment's COSHH policy.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and COSHH
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
