Overview

An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy based in Wokingham. This role is ideal for a mechanically focused engineer with experience in mechanical building services design who’s ready to take the next step in their career.

You’ll be contributing to the design and delivery of sustainable, energy-efficient systems for a variety of projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities
  • Mechanical design and specification of building services systems including HVAC, ventilation, and public health.
  • Preparation of technical reports, drawings, and detailed design documentation.
  • Perform calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., Hevacomp, IES, Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers, architects, and clients throughout the design process.
  • Support senior engineers in delivering projects from concept to completion.
  • Ensure all work complies with current building regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and sustainability targets.
