Type: Full-Time (Monday - Friday 37.5 hours)

Welcome to Motel

Our story began during a road trip in the 1990s where our founders Will and Andy travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there they began designing reworked vintage pieces and thus Motel was born. The role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our IT team. This is an entry level position ideal for individuals looking to start a career in IT with a passion for supporting colleagues, fixing issues and always looking for continuous improvement opportunities! The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance, support and development of IT systems and infrastructure of Motel whilst receiving training and hands‑on experience.

Main tasks & responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support resolving basic IT issues and escalating more complex problems to senior team members.
• Assist in liaising with external IT support firm LeapIT while focusing on resolving issues internally wherever possible.
• Manage support tickets using the IT helpdesk system ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Keep up to date and comply with current IT legislation.
• Assist in the set‑up of new starters at Motel, including the configuration and deployment of hardware (PCs, laptops and printers).
• Establish good working relationships with users and provide exceptional customer service.
• Support inventory tracking of IT assets and equipment.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as learning opportunities.
• Help Motel become an ISO 27001 certified business.
• Continually improve skills and knowledge in line with company objectives.
