Intermediate Building Surveyor
Location: London (Old Street) - Hybrid working option
Salary: £40,000-£50,000

A progressive, multidisciplinary property consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Building Surveyor to join its London office. The practice delivers high-quality property solutions across residential, commercial, healthcare, and education sectors, with projects spanning surveys, feasibility assessments, and site investigations. You'll join a collaborative, people-focused team with a strong emphasis on work-life balance, personal development, and a supportive culture, contributing to varied projects from inception to completion and helping deliver practical, innovative solutions for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct building surveys with a focus on damp, mould, and condensation issues
  • Carry out feasibility assessments and prepare reports to support client decision-making
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance, quality, and timelines are met
  • Support junior team members and contribute to the growth of the surveying team
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in building surveying
  • Strong understanding of damp & mould diagnostics and feasibility studies
  • Experience across residential, healthcare, and education projects would be highly beneficial
  • Degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively
  • Committed to professional growth and working towards chartered status (full RICS/CIOB support provided)
  • Willingness to travel to sites within London and surrounding areas
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
