Finance Business Partner - 12-Month FTC

A 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to support a large, complex organisation through a period of change. The role will partner closely with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders, providing commercial insight, robust budgeting and forecasting, and clear financial reporting to support effective decision‑making.

The position is based in Manchester city centre, with an on-site requirement of three days per week. Salary is up to £52,000, dependent on experience.

This role would suit a hands‑on finance professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience operating in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.

The Role

An established public‑sector organisation is seeking an accountant to support a broad portfolio of infrastructure and transformation projects. Alongside traditional construction and transport‑related programmes, the organisation is delivering a range of emerging priorities aligned to local economic growth, sustainability, congestion reduction and active travel initiatives.

You will contribute to the development and delivery of both new and existing projects, working closely with stakeholders to provide financial insight, support robust decision‑making, and identify financial risks and opportunities.
