Job description

Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.

Base salary range: $134,288 – $142,099 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

UWA is making significant investments in the Information and Technology Services to enable its strategic direction and goals. UWA is also looking to utilise technology advancements to expand its services and create new and innovative teaching and research models.

Robust, flexible, integrated and agile enterprise architecture, information and technology services are vital to enabling the university strategic objectives.

About the opportunity
  • You will act as a technology domain expert, focusing on designing, architecting, and delivering application and technology solutions for high-priority projects.
  • You will apply the UWA Tailored Architecture Framework, Integration patterns and automation, guide project teams, and ensure architectural integrity across solutions.
  • Support the adoption of modern platforms and best practices, making key architectural and operational decisions that align with the University's strategic objectives.
About you
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency.
  • Microsoft Certification (e.g. AZ 204, AZ 305) or demonstrated experience in Azure Integration Services and solution design.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing solutions with particular focus on integration and automation, security and performance across varied internal and external environments.
  • Extensive relevant experience at an appropriate level with expertise in data centre, storage, networking, virtualisation, Azure cloud platforms, and data engineering tools (PaaS and iPaaS).
  • Proven experience implementing APIs using REST APIs and/or SOAP to integrate applications and experience using Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and other PaaS and iPaaS platforms.
Special Requirements
  • A current National Police Clearance Certificate.
