Job Title: Instrumentation Project Engineer

Location: Derby

Type: Permanent

Salary: £45,000

Hours: 35 per week (08:00 - 16:00 | 13:00 Finish on Friday)

Start: ASAP

Overview: My client is currently seeking a project engineer to assist in planning, execution, and overseeing multiple projects. The ideal candidate will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to strict quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage instrumentation projects from quotation to completion
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, reports, and budgets
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify requirements, risks, and resources
  • Communicate with stakeholders, providing updates and keeping projects on track
  • Develop and manage bill of materials (BoM) and acquire relevant materials when needed
  • Travel to customer sites (occasionally), both domestic and international

Requirements:

  • Completed Degree, HNC/HND in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of instrumentation (Strain Gauges, Thermocouples, Pressure Gauges, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of layouts, engineering drawings, and designs
  • Previous project management experience
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Aerospace or similar background
  • Must be British due to the nature of projects
