Housekeeping Supervisor

Blackwood House, Roskear, Camborne, TR14 8BA

£13.43 per hour plus pay rate enhancement on certain shifts

40 hours available – 10 hour days with alternate weekend working – and must be flexible

Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of Housekeeping Assistants, ensuring they keep to their cleaning schedules and maintain an attractive and clean environment throughout the home
  • Ensure residents live in a clean, safe and pleasant environment that feels as close to ‘home’ as possible
Qualifications & Skills
  • Teamwork – a happy team leads to happy residents and a happy home
  • Previous experience providing supervised housekeeping services, ideally in a dementia residential setting, with the ability to work within a budget and a good level of IT skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working hours to cover team absences
  • Kind, genuine, and compassionate towards older people, respecting their dignity and needs
  • Knowledge of infection control
  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 qualification in catering or housekeeping, or equivalent knowledge and ability
