Overview

HLTA - Bristol

We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join an OFSTED Outstanding special school in Bristol. This is a varied and rewarding role, combining 3 days a week within the Intervention & Response Team and 2 days a week as a class-based HLTA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide rapid response and support for pupils with complex needs as part of the Intervention & Response Team
  • Deliver bespoke, targeted interventions under the guidance of senior leaders
  • Support teaching, learning, and pupil engagement as a class-based HLTA
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies and reflective practice to engage and inspire pupils
  • Foster independence, social development, and emotional wellbeing
Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • A confident, proactive, and inclusive approach to working with children and young people
  • Ability to adapt creatively to meet a wide range of learning needs
What's on Offer
  • 32.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm)

  • Salary: £100-£110 per day
