A leading education supply agency is seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Northamptonshire. The role involves covering PPA time and supporting teaching staff. Candidates must have solid communication skills, be ready to train if not qualified, and possess GCSEs in English and Maths. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Enhanced Role
Location: Kettering Area, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: 19.5 hours per week (3 days), Term Time + Training Days
Salary: NJC Grade G (Point 8 12) approximately £13.90 per hour (pro rata)
We are seeking a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a forward-thinking, Good -rated primary school renowned for its positive staff morale and commitment to wellbeing. In this role, you will:
Cover PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time
Lead interventions and support teaching staff
Support subject coordinators and enhance lesson delivery
Potentially work towards completing your HLTA qualification if not already qualified
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Either a formal HLTA qualification or significant experience and readiness to train
Experience delivering whole-class teaching and small-group interventions
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues
GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
A commitment to raising pupil achievement and creating an engaging learning environment
An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration).
