Job description

About the Role:

We are looking for HGV Class 1 or Class 2 drivers to work on a full‑time basis for nights on our waste water contract. Driving a vacuum tanker, the work incorporates tankering various non‑hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the regions. You will be provided with a phone and an app to outline the jobs that have been assigned to you by the Operations Supervisor.

Due to the nature of the role, a full HGV Class 1 or Class 2 UK drivers licence with CPC and an up‑to‑date digi‑tachograph card is required.

Hours: 4 days on / 4 days off – Nights 6 pm – 6 am

Salary: £20.40 per hour

Location: Chalgrove, Oxford

Responsibilities – but not limited to:

• Operate HGV‑mounted vacuum and tankers for drainage and waste management tasks.
• Independently manage job sites ensuring safe practices and high‑quality work.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Accurately complete job reports and system updates.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
• Maintain high health and safety standards including proper PPE use and regulatory compliance.

Experience and qualifications required:

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid, in‑date CPC and up‑to‑date tachograph card.
