The Position
You will develop the UK&I Asset Management Grid strategy and lead all client-facing Grid initiatives across our Asset Management portfolio. You will serve as a key contact between support services delivery teams, wider Group functions, and clients. Your role involves supporting the development and delivery of Grid Services related to operational assets managed by the Global Asset Management Teams, aiming to meet company, client, team, and project goals. While primarily supporting the UK Asset Management Team, there will be opportunities to collaborate with other RES regions.
You will ensure our Asset Management portfolio complies with Grid Code requirements, reporting to the Grid Services and Compliance Manager and working with Asset Managers, the AM Finance Team, RES Control Centre, UKI Energy Networks, and Routes to Market Teams. Ancillary Grid Services will be developed by the Routes to Market (Commercial) and Grid Services and Compliance (Technical) teams, with delivery by the respective teams and the RES Control Centre. Although technical, understanding the commercial aspects of these services is essential.
This role is strategic within RES, focusing on developing Grid Services and increasing the standardization and volume of Grid-related services for the Asset Management business. Responsibilities include identifying new Grid service opportunities, promoting these services to clients, and maximizing revenue potential, especially with key accounts. You will support and influence support services strategies, collaborate with business heads to develop new services, and engage with clients through conferences and events, providing feedback to refine offerings.
Regular communication and collaboration with the Energy Networks Team and Routes to Market Team are required to share information on Grid Policies and Initiatives. Your accountabilities include:

Knowledge required includes Grid Ancillary Services, regulations, wind and solar technologies, safety standards, and electrical equipment. Skills include initiative, planning, project management, and commercial awareness. Experience in managing Grid issues on renewable assets, project management, and renewable technologies is essential. A degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline is required.
