We are currently recruiting for a dynamic leader that would spearhead all data acquisition and onboarding into our MGA data platform - Vellum. The ideal candidate will have experience and background leading MGA / MGU onboarding, underwriting knowledge and expertise, strong stakeholder management / communication skills and strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize and execute from initial scoping / planning through to a final result.
This role is an important senior leadership position , reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer that sits at the nexus of P&L, Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Claims, IT and the CUO Office. Responsibilities
The candidate will focus and lead the following:
· Lead global program and data onboarding into the Vellum platform. Establish strong focus to ensure we get required data into the system in a prioritized, expedient and joined up way.
· Lead MGA onboarding prioritization to ensure that we are strategic about the allocation of SiriusPoint resources (e.g., financial, human) and maximize the results of our onboarding efforts.
· Work with SiriusPoint P&L leaders and Program Managers to ensure our data requirements are crystal clear, pragmatic, properly communicated and achievable on all sides - SiriusPoint, Vellum and MGA partner.
· Work with P&L Leaders, Product Heads, IT and others (e.g., Actuarial, Exposure Management , Finance , Claims ) to ensure that the master data schema is fit-for-purpose and designed to capture and map all data that is needed to run SiriusPoint's Program business.
· With IT and Program Managers, assess each MGA's capability to deliver data to SiriusPoint and support the structuring of data delivery agreements to ensure we get what we need to successfully run each program.
· For new MGA relationships, support the pre-bind assessment of their data availability, structure and capability to deliver; support post-bind onboarding to ensure we execute in accordance with expectations. Troubleshoot / solution with the MGA on any data delivery related challenges.
· With IT, build out of the data delivery pipeline and oversee / coordinate UAT efforts across the organization, including: Program Managers, Actuarial staff, Finance department, Claims, CUO office staff, etc.
· Participate in strategic discussions with MGA partners on data challenges, roadblocks and work with the SiriusPoint team and the MGA to solution for the short, medium and long-term
· With IT and Program Managers, establish an MGA data scorecard to drive visibility, transparency and understanding of quality levels; work with MGAs and Program Managers to continuously improve / drive data quality and delivery.
· Communicate the status of the Vellum onboarding to internal stakeholders including: CEO, Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and others. Support / join ELT in Board reporting on Vellum and lead development of presentation / summary materials.
· Partner with Global Head of UW Quality and Ops to incorporate all learnings and experiences into our MGA onboarding playbook to ensure that we continuously improve and have a best-in-class approach to data acquisition to drive performance management and MGA service levels.
Qualifications
Your skills and abilities should include:
· Demonstrated experience driving successful MGA program management and onboarding
· Thorough knowledge of MGA insurance underwriting and claims data and performance management
· Strong team player that is adept at bringing together stakeholders across business, functional areas and externally to drive project performance
· Broad knowledge of insurance products including: Property, Casualty, Specialty lines and A&H
· Knowledge and expertise supporting and driving data and technology strategy at Program-focused Property and Casualty companies
· Strategic mindset with the ability to prioritize the allocation of firm resources; ability to operate tactically in the details but step up to a strategic level
· Bachelor's degree in business, finance, actuarial science, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) or MBA preferred, with 10+ years of relevant experience in insurance product development or operations
