Overview

Manpower is currently seeking an interim Global Assistant Brand Manager (Dove) to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. The role is based at Blackfriars on London's Victoria Embankment, a short walk from Blackfriars tube. This is a full-time temporary role for 9 months (potential to become permanent), requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is up to £48,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. The role offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to business requirements.

Job Purpose: This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of Dove's global purpose communications, supporting the team in delivering high-quality, emotionally resonant content that builds brand equity and desirability. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, creative agencies, and over 27 market teams. You will lead and take ownership in multiple areas of project management, including rollout market strategy alignment, partnership approvals, asset adaptations, and global website development and rollout. There will be extensive support across creative development, budget management, and SWOP. Dove is committed to marketing excellence and ensuring the marketing mix reflects the brand’s distinctiveness and purpose across all campaign touchpoints and market executions. You’ll report to the Comms Global Senior Brand Manager as part of the Dove Masterbrand team, with exposure to the Global Dove Masterbrand VP and liaison with senior leadership and teams across Dove global markets.

Responsibilities
  • Co-create Dove's long-term brand strategy to ensure the brand is future-fit, consumer-focused, and leading culture in creative briefs, insights, and tensions.
  • Support Global Brand Manager on Creative development for the next 20 years of Dove Purpose.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are rigorously followed and act as guardian of visual identity and tone of voice.
  • Own complete ecosystem planning, development, and execution with a social-first mindset, including website development and rollout, social channels, and guidance for retail and experiential.
  • Lead asset management for campaign ecosystem (guidelines, flighting, format adaptation), market ecosystem alignment, and asset adaptation.
  • Collaborate with media, digital marketing, and market teams to plan, execute, and optimize media plans for campaigns.
  • Co-create the learning plan with CMI to ensure consumer insights are understood and translated into communications, moving the needle on Brand Equity.
  • Work with the Dove Self-Esteem Project team to ensure Brand Say communications drive impact and engagement for DSEP tools and body confidence materials.
  • Coordinate total global market tracking with monthly/quarterly updates and align Masterbrand plans, market adaptations, and live campaign execution (PLE).
  • Lead Dove Masterbrand Internal Communications to engage global markets, leadership, and broader audiences (newsletters, office comms, LinkedIn, leadership alignment).
  • Manage project agency administration, including budgets, SWOP, contracts, and legal alignment.
  • Inspire the Masterbrand team by bringing external ideas and trends from culture to inform the brand’s opportunities.
