Overview

Role: Geotechnical Engineer

Salary: £31k - £38k (Depending on experience)

Location: Manchester

Ref: CAS0019

Responsibilities

• Working as a member of a project team to deliver quality services to clients
• Ensures that designs are delivered on time to our clients and that the design fulfils the client’s brief
• Inspects construction work and ensures that all aspects of design are correctly implemented
• Monitors processes and results and ensure that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements
• Ability to make appropriate judgements and decisions and exercise initiative

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-years’ design experience in Geotechnical Engineering with proven technical knowledge of geotechnics and relevant software
• Detailed knowledge of current engineering codes of practice
• Ability to work to deadlines and excellent planning and organisation skills
• Ability to work independently
• A first degree (minimum 2.1) in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or similar
• Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering or similar is
• Minimum of 2 years’ Geotechnical or Civil Engineering design experience
