Overview

As General Kitchen Assistant for Sodexo at St Williams of Perth Primary School, Cannon Close, Rochester, Kent, ME1 3EN, you will contribute to the smooth running of a fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will showcase what the kitchen supplies and help ensure we offer the best service possible. You will work regular hours with time off on public holidays, including Christmas.

What you do
  • Prepare delicious meals for our school team and pupils.
  • Keep the kitchen and serving areas stocked, clean and hygienic always.
  • Support the loading and unloading of supply and delivery vehicles.
  • Observe food handling and hygiene regulations.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure that all machines and equipment are operated correctly.
  • Always uphold the reputation of the company.
  • Have a great sense of teamwork.
  • Adopt a dedicated and orderly approach.
  • Prioritise your work, handle pressure, and communicate well at all levels.
  • Demonstrate impeccable punctuality and dependability.
  • Experience in a similar environment is helpful but not a deal breaker.

Role details
  • £12.21 per hour
  • 17.5 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Monday - Friday 10:00–13:30
  • Term Time only (39-week contract paid over 52 weeks)
  • Equated pay (spread-over pay) paid monthly across 12 months; further information at interview
